WILLIAM (BILL) BRYCE Peacefully on April 1, 2001 at the Concordia Hospital, William (Bill) Bryce, long time resident of the Springfield district, passed away at age 87 years. Bill was born near Glasgow, Scotland on January 7, 1914. In 1920, he immigrated to Canada with his parents, where they farmed in South Transcona. Bill married Margaret Reid in 1940 and together they made their home and farmed in the Dugald area. Bill was also a long time employee of the CNR. Bill is survived by his son Jim (Ingrid) sisters, Mary Brook, Jean Marshall and Margaret Hondubura, and many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Bill was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Margaret in 1995 and his parents, Jean and William Bryce. Funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Jane Watelainen on Thursday, April 5 at 1:30 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Interment to follow in the Millbrook Cemetery. Should friends so desire, memorial donations made to a favourite charity would be appreciated. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
