GLADYS ALBERTA RYDER (nee MORRISON) On March 28, 2001, at the age of 96 years, Gladys Ryder of Villa Cabrini, passed away peacefully in the Grace Hospital. Gladys was predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth Anne and Albert Morrison; her husband Edward Ryder; sisters, Francie and Dorothy Leona. To celebrate her life she leaves behind her sons, Ted (Kay) of Hamilton, ON, Morley (Mary) of Halifax, NS, Cecil (Fe) of Winnipeg; daughters, Gail (Arnold) Froese of Reston, MB, Bette-Anne (Don) Kern of Moose Jaw, SK. Gladys also leaves 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Gladys was born in Elma Twsp., Perth County, ON, on June 1, 1904, moving to Brandon as a child. She married Edward in 1927 in Regina and they lived in Estevan and Moose Jaw before moving to Winnipeg in 1960. She had been a resident of Villa Cabrini for the past 16 years. Gladys was known to be a lady of class, with a good sense of humour and a loving heart. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, April 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Holy Rosary Parish, 510 River Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 5 at 10:00 a.m., also in the church, with the Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano the celebrant. Cremation will follow the mass and interment will take place at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. Should friends so desire, donations may be made to Villa Cabrini, 433 River Ave., or to a charity of choice. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
