ELAINE MARGARET OLGA VANDE VYVERE September 6, 1930 - March 31, 2001 It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother at the age of 70 years, on Saturday, March 31, 2001. Elaine was born on September 6, 1930 in St. Boniface. She leaves behind her husband Roger; son Wayne (Dawn) Vande Vyvere; daughter Valerie (Glen) Bergeron; daughter Gail Vande Vyvere; and daughter Kimberley Vande Vyvere (Gerald Hawkes) grandchildren, Jaimie, Ryley, Madisson, Erin, Bryan, Melissa, and Jefferey; great-grandchildren, Ty and Kayd. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Katherine and Alexander Ofremchuk; and is survived by her two brothers, John (Elaine) Ofremchuk, Carl (Agnes, deceased) Ofremchuk; and one sister Mary (Brian Carter) Ofremchuk; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Moms family was the center of her life, always placing them before herself. Her passion for her Irish Setters and helping others will fondly be remembered. She has now taken the hands of her mother and father and crossed the Rainbow Bridge leaving a void in our hearts and souls. We miss you dearly. Prayer Vigil will take place 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 5 at Christ the King Church. A celebration mass and funeral will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 6 at Christ the King Church, 847 St. Marys Rd., with Rev. Fr. Pasinato presiding. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Manitoba Head Injury Association, or the Christ the King Memorial Fund. What is Dying A ship sails and I stand watching till she fades on the Horizon, and someone at my side says "She is gone" Gone where? Gone from my sight thats all. She is just as large as when I saw her... The diminished size and total loss of sight is in me, not her. And just at that moment when someone at my side says, "She is gone", There are others who are watching her coming and their voices take up a glad shout "There she comes" ....and that is dying. - Bishop Brent May the Shamrocks fall softly about your footsteps Mom. Bye for now. P. COUTU & CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 156 Marion Street949-4864
