Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES ALDORE OUELLETTE On Sunday, April 1, 2001 at Tache Centre, after a lengthy illness, Charles Ouellette peacefully passed away at the age of 88 years. Charles was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Clerinda Ouellette; his sister Adeline (Gordon Kaye), and Ida (Hugh Waters) his brothers, Armand (Marianne), and Fr. Bob "Lou" Ouellette SM; his first wife Mae Johnson and his second wife Doris Hutton, and his son Charlie. Seven brothers and sisters also predeceased him in childhood. Charles will be lovingly remembered by his son Roland; daughter Ida Mae Wells (Joe) daughter-in-law Vi Ouellette; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews including his special niece Patsy Dufrene (Roger) his brother Albert (Eileen) and sister Laura from Montreal, also survive him. Charles was born November 1, 1912 in St. Boniface and attended school there. He worked for the Winnipeg Transit for many years as a mechanic. Mae and Charles were childhood sweethearts and were married in 1937. They had three children. Mae died in 1943. Charles married Doris in 1946, and they lived for many years on Sadler Ave. in St. Vital. Charles enjoyed fishing and hunting with his buddies and sons. The last few years of his life were spent at Tache Nursing Centre where he was well cared for till the end. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 4 at 7:00 p.m. in the P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion Street. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 5 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Eugene Church, 1007 St. Marys Rd. with Reverend Fr. Marcel Toupin presiding. Pallbearers will be Trevor Wells, Neil Ouellette, Rob Ouellette, Jason Kennedy, Dave Waters, and Norm Richardson. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Charles memory to the Tache Nursing Centre (3ABC Activities) 185 Despins St. Wpg., Mb. R2H 1E3 or to a charity of your choice. P. COUTU & CO.
