STEPHEN (STEVE) NEGRICH Peacefully, on Thursday, April 5, 2001 at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Stephen Negrich passed away at the age of 79 years. Stephen was born in Teulon, Manitoba on March 23, 1922. In his teens he moved to Ontario to work at the bush camps, then at the mines in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. He returned to Winnipeg and worked at Canada Metal, until he retired. Stephen was a generous and caring person to all. He enjoyed reading, playing cards and wood whittling. He loved to visit his niece Mary Kazur in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. Stephen was predeceased by his sisters Julie, Annie and Rose, his brothers Bill, Harry, Mike and Tony. He leaves to mourn his passing, many nieces and nephews. Shirley and Mike Kowalchuk would like to extend special thanks to Dr. J. Patel and the nursing staff on the 5th Floor, Unit 5 for their wonderful care and kindness. Funeral service will be held on Monday April 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St., Winnipeg, Manitoba, with Rev. Fr. Mikhail Kouts officiating.
