SALOMON HAMELIN On April 4, 2001, at the age of 97 years, Sam, passed away at Langley, B.C. He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, Lorraine and Suzanne; sons, Paul (Moire) and Louis; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Marguerite Lind of Winnipeg and Germaine Hamel of Drummondville, Que.; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son Maurice and his wife Lucinne. Sam was born in Ste. Rose du Lac; lived in St. Norbert. In 1934 he married Lucinne Gauthier of Fort Garry, then later moved to New Westminister, B.C. where they raised their family. He was employed at Fraser Mills for all of his working years. Volunteering his spare time coaching football and baseball to young people. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 7 at St. Josephs Church in Langley, B.C. Father Poti officiating.
