Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLACHLENA (LEE) GLANVILLE 1922 - 2001 Born Lachlena Jones in Glasgow, Scotland, Lee served with distinction in the Womens Royal Naval Service (WRNS) prior to emigrating to Canada in 1946. She worked outside the home and with her husband John raised a family of three children. Together they lived in a variety of places around the world - Jamaica, New Zealand and Thailand. Once settled in Winnipeg, she became well known at the University of Manitoba, first as Departmental Secretary in Sociology, and later as Executive Secretary to Presidents Dr. Ralph Campbell and Dr. Arnold Naimark. From her position in the Office of the President, Lees dedication to excellence was underlaid by her delightful sense of humour and her compassion to help others. Always a staunch family person, Lee was a devoted mother, grandmother and a true friend. Lee passed away on April 4, 2001 after a brief illness. She is survived by husband John; daughter Beth Lange and her husband Ian, daughter Patricia; son John; and grandchildren, Nicola and James Lange. Lee is loved deeply by her family and is sorely missed. Funeral arrangements are private. If you wish to express your appreciation of your association with Lee, a contribution to the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be her wish. The family would like to thank the medical, nursing, and staff of the St. Boniface Hospital for their excellence and compassion during Lees illness. BARDAL FUNERAL HOME 843 Sherbrook Street, 774-7474
