HELEN (OBRYAN) CHICK (nee SMITH) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Helen Chick at the Grace Hospital, on April 4, 2001 at the age of 83 years. Helen will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Pat Rentz and Lynne Knight; grandchildren, Laura Lynne Laferte (Terry), Brian Knight, Gordon Rentz, David Rentz (Tracie) and Jennifer Rentz-Wright (Jamie) great-grandchildren Mandy and Melissa Laferte, Kaitlin Rentz and Emily Wright; sisters, Edna Paterson (Alex) and Chris Drombolis; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Sheila and Ken Hayward, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husbands, William OBryan in 1945 and Archie Chick in 1984; her mother and father; three brothers, Gordon, Jim and Eddie and sister Ida Goodall in 2000. Helen was born in Winnipeg in 1917 and lived her entire life here. She held many secretarial positions throughout her working life. Helen was an avid reader, and talented seamstress and enjoyed hand crafts and painting. She also enjoyed the seniors group at Grey Street United Church. Helen was a kind, loving and generous woman with a wonderful sense of humor. She will be greatly missed. In keeping with Helens wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 9 at Bardal Funeral Chapel, 843 Sherbrook Street, with reception to follow. BARDAL FUNERAL HOME 843 Sherbrook Street, 774-7474
