ANNE BAMBURAK December 25, 1922- April 5, 2001 It is with our deepest sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of our dearest Mother and Grandmother, Anne Bamburak, age 78 years. She was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1991, her parents Mary (Luba) and Paul Penuita, brother Matt and sisters Thelma and Elsie. Anne will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, James (Wilma) and Robert (Cathy) five grandchildren, David, Steven, Wendy Leigh, Lindsey and Kristjan; sister Stella Nelson; brothers Peter (Olga) Penuita and Mervin (Pat) Penuita; sister-in-law Mary Solonyka, many nieces, nephews and friends. Anne was a founding member of St. Josephs Ukrainian Catholic Church and belonged to the UCWLC. She was employed with Jeannes Bakery (St. Johns store) for 28 years. When she retired our Dad was not well. Mom devoted all her time and energy to him with loving care. Her family was her life, and she loved to spend summers with them at Falcon Lake. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, especially Lindsey and Wendy, spending many days together. Mom had a green thumb and dearly loved her garden, which would flourish under her care. In recent years, Mom resided at Carriage House where she made many friends. The family would like to acknowledge the care and attention Mom received from Seven Oaks Hospital, 4th Floor, Unit 4. Prayers will be held on Monday, April 9, at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 10 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Ave. with Rev. Fr. Boris Kyba, C.Ss.R. officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Annes memory to CancerCare Manitoba, P.O.
