Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALVINA (nee ARENS) LEWIS April 25, 1927 - April 5, 2001 Mom entered heavens gates after a valiant fight with cancer. She delighted in the patients and staff around her who became her friends at Riverview Health Centre. On a previous night before she died she was in high spirits playing table games with her two daughters Vonne and Carrie and her grandson, Dustin, with Dad looking on. That night took a turn towards heaven and she struggled throughout the day. She was surrounded by her entire family including her husband Archie with whom she celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this last summer. Her son Terry, daughters, Vonne, Dawn and Carrie and two of her grandchildren, Dustin and Austin were at her bedside. Mom also has a daughter-in-law Elizabeth and three other grandchildren, Nahannai, David and Naomi, and two great-grandchildren Tierannai and Taeron. Alvina is survived by her sister Annie Andres of Abbotsford, BC. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to staff at Riverview Health Centre for their excellent care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
