DOUGLAS (DOUG) DANIEL SMITH It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Douglas Daniel Smith on Monday, April 2, 2001 at the age of 55. He is survived by his wife Geri of 35 years of marriage; his children, Debbie (Cameron), Danielle (Jen), Kevin (Christina) and James. Three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Joshua and Bradley. His mother Ethel Toews of Calgary, Alberta also survives him, along with other members of family throughout Alberta and British Columbia. Doug spent many years in the trucking industry both locally and in Alberta. He made many friends and will be sadly missed by all. At this time the family would like to give a personal thank you to the Grace General Hospitals Palliative Care staff for all their effort and care of Douglas. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in memory of Douglas to the Grace General Hospital Foundation, 300 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7. There will be no services by request.
