MARON KUNICKY On Saturday, April 7, 2001,. at the Golden Links Lodge, Maron Kunicky passed away at the age of 87. He was predeceased by his wife Stella in 1987 and previously by his parents Alexander and Mary. Maron is survived by daughters, Joyce (Bill) Nanka (St. Adolphe) and Joanne (Richard) Koprowski (London, Ont.) grandchildren, Kevin (Maureen), Colin and Darin Koprowski, Michelle and Laurie Nanka; sister Minnie Czechowski (Detroit) and brother Henry (Vancouver) and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Maron was born in Winnipeg, married Stella Blasko in 1944 and was employed by CPR for 35 years before his retirement in 1975. Maron was a longtime member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church on Boyd Avenue. He had a special heart for his grandchildren, meticulously took care of his residence and enjoyed chatting with neighbours and friends on Magnus Avenue. Prayers will be held on Monday, April 9 at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 10 at 9:30 a.m., also at the Chapel. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Gordon and Don Blasko, Kevin and Colin Koprowski, Michelle and Laurie Nanka. Special thanks to the nurses, staff and volunteers for their family care, love and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marons memory to the Parkinson Foundation of Canada.
