Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILHELMINE MARGARETHE SCHMIDT (MINNA) (nee Neubecker) August 1910 - April 2001 On Saturday, April 7, 2001, our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully. Mother was born August 24, 1910, in Gothenweg. She was the eldest daughter of Johann and Katharina Neubecker. She married her husband Willi on July 11, 1935. Together they had two daughters. The family emigrated from Germany to Canada in 1953 and made their new home in Winnipeg. Minna was predeceased by her husband Willi in 1993; by her dear brothers, Erich and Wilhelm Neubecker, and also very tragically by her parents in 1945. Mother will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Ingrid Bieber (Konrad) and Gisela Knudsen (Egon) also by her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, Ralph Bieber (Christine) and Ryan Bieber of Kitchener, ON, Birgit Knudsen-Woodman (Randy) and Dr. Bodo Knudsen of Winnipeg, as well as her cherished great-grandchildren, Colleen, Erin, and Brent Bieber of Kitchener and Alysha Woodman of Winnipeg. She will also be dearly missed by her sister Lucie Kruse (Bill) niece Burga Kruse; dear niece Ingrid Butenschoen (Reinhard) and family and by numerous relatives and friends both in Canada and Germany. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all the staff of West Park Manor where our mother resided since June, 1998 and was content and comfortable. Rest in Peace Dear Mother. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, with Pastor Heimo Bachmeyer officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg MB R3C 2B7 or the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8.
