ALICE F. CADIEUX (FILION)

ALICE F. CADIEUX (nee FILION) Peacefully, on June 14, 2001, Alice F. Cadieux passed away at the Grace General Hospital. Her daughter Lucille (1977), husband Raoul (1978), and grandson Richard (1995), predeceased her. She is the last of her siblings to depart this world. She is survived by her sons, Raymond (Donna) of Winnipeg, Paul-Andre (Silvia) of Switzerland; grandchildren Marc (Monica) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jan and France of Switzerland. Mom was born in Castleman, ON, to Mary Jane and Hilaire Filion on September 15, 1908. She was youngest of seven children. In 1936, she married Raoul Cadieux. After many moves around Ontario and Quebec, they settled in Ste. Adele, PQ. Following her husbands death, she moved to Winnipeg in 1979. Mom was a very devoted wife and mother. A funeral mass of the resurrection will take place at St. John Brebeuf Parish, 1707 John Brebeuf Pl., Monday, June 18 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation made to the Grace General Hospital Foundation - Palliative Care, 300 Booth Dr., R3J 3M7, in Alices memory would be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank Dr. F. Ross for her care over the years that mom lived in Winnipeg. A very special thanks to the nurses that took care of her during her stay at the Grace; Anne (4E) and Jo, Maria, Donna, Brenda, Betty-Anne, Shauna, Cindy, all the health care providers and palliative care volunteers of 4West, and Marilyn from the social work department.
