Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDNA LABELLE (nee DEAN) Peacefully, on April 9, 2001, Edna Labelle passed away at the St. Norbert Care Home at the age of 87 years. She joins her beloved husband Leo; and sister Mildred; brothers-in-law, Rudy and Nick. Edna was also predeceased by her first husband Harold. She is survived by sister Helen Jansen; brother Ernest Dean; stepchildren, Ray Labelle, David (Carol) Labelle, Jeannine (John) Van Kirkhoff; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving Edna are her sisters-in-law, Simone Ricard and Agnes Labelle; numerous nephews and nieces who will remember her with affection. Edna was a gentle and compassionate person who overcame many trials in her life. Her devotion to Leo was exemplary. The family wishes to thank the staff at the St. Norbert Care Home for their constant and compassionate care of Edna these last six years. She was content and happy there and for that we are grateful. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St., presided by Rev. Mr. Ted Wood, Deacon.
