VIRGINIA (RITCHIE) GOWRYLUK It is with great sadness that we announce the very sudden passing of Virginia Gowryluk, on Friday, April 6, 2001. She is survived by her husband Jake; her children, Kim (Angela), Robin (Gary), Jill (Rob), Charles Pilgrim (Rozlynn) as well as her grandchildren, Susan, Daniel, Renate, Laura, Alexander, Alexis, Georgia, Dylan, Kirstie, Kimya, Tristan, Jelissa; and her sister Lorraine (Ray). Virginia was predeceased by her parents, Joe and Rosie, and her son Jon Paul. To review moms life might appear uneventful in this world of acquisition and material gain. Virgie valued and practiced something that we have long forgotten...UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. As a wife, mother, grandmother, grannie, oma and friend she always had love for all. We count our blessings that we were so fortunate to have had Mom to be a part of our lives and to share this with us. We saw Mom as someone who nurtured everyone around her and everyone she touched flourished in her love and caring. Mom loved to garden and many times when she worked too hard she would become very tired. Still she would somehow find energy to return to her garden, which seemed to grow bigger every year. That is how she treated everyone in her life. She always found more love and energy to nourish her husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends. Like Virgies garden we all have flourished with her loving care, guidance, understanding, friendship and her unconditional love. We will mis you Virgie but never forget what you gave us. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 11 at 10:30 a.m., in the Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk with Pastor Frank Boychuk officiating. Viewing will take place half an hour prior to service. Interment to follow in the Ashfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Selkirk Food Bank or a charity of choice. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
