CORNELIUS (JOE) VANDAELE Joe passed away peacefully on April 10, 2001 at the Charleswood Care Centre. Born December 19, 1911 in Deloraine, Manitoba to Clementine and Desire Vandaele. Married to Theresa Turenne November 3, 1934. Joe was an active member of the Belgian Club for most of his adult life. He was also a member of the Robin Hood Archery Club and the St. Boniface Dart Club. His favourite hobby was gardening and growing very large tomatoes. Joe was employed as a carpenter for the majority of his life. He worked for Deleeuw Lumber, Cusson Lumber and retired after many years at Supercrete Products. He is survived by his daughter Dolores (Rene Philippot) son Charles (Bonnie) five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Irene Arsenych, Victoria, BC. He was predeceased by his wife Theresa, his parents, his two brothers, Harry and Remi and his sister Martha. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 12 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Reception Centre.
