Muriel was born in Sioux Lookout, Ontario, on March 28, 1922, moving to Winnipeg in 1934. Muriel was an active, energetic woman who exercised regularly with her friends at the St. Vital YMCA in the Seniors Program, was a member of the Golden Rule Seniors, Sioux Lookout Seniors, bowled at the Norwood bowling lanes and lawn bowled with Norwood Lawn Bowling. She was involved with the Manitoba Society for Seniors following her retirement from the Provincial Government. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and was involved with her daughters in Jobs Daughters. Her happiest times were spent with her family celebrating birthdays, sharing Christmas, getting together for Sunday dinners and returning to Sioux Lookout several times a year. Muriel had a wonderful sense of humor, made a great travelling companion and was always a joy to be with. Mom traveled often to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with family and friends. Mom also enjoyed summertime at the summer homes of her daughters with their family and friends. Predeceased by Eunice Richardson (sister) and Les Adams (brother), Muriel leaves her daughters, Tannis Webster (Russ Manhard) (son-in-law Bob Webster) Terry Horrox (Art) sisters, Sybil Barnett, Ethel Pelletier and Iris Czinkota (Garnet) grandchildren, Mark Webster, Dana Dolynchuk (Garry), David Webster (Sarah-Dash Arbuckle) and Krista Bourne (Corey) great-grandson Kyle Dolynchuk; close family friend Gerry Bohemier and many nieces and nephews. Muriels family wish to thank the caregivers in the Palliative Care ward of the St. Boniface Hospital for the caring and respectful manner in which they supported mom and her family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Cancer Society. Following moms wishes, a memorial gathering for family and friends is planned for Saturday, April 14, (3:00 p.m.) in the lower level of St. Mary Magdalene Church, 3 St. Vital Road.
