Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD BARRY ANSELL After a lengthy battle with cancer Edward Barry Ansell passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2001 at the Johnson Memorial Hospital, Gimli. He was predeceased by his mother Irene Ansell, father Henry L. Ansell and one brother Bert Ansell. He is survived by his wife Frances, two sons, Wilf Ansell (Lee) and extended family and James Ansell (Georgina) two daughters Connie McArthur (Robert) and Colleen Heidalh; eight grandchildren Aaron (Jody), Kerri (Jeff), Kirt, Dwayne, Dwight, Dallas, Travis and Tracy; four great-grandchildren, Darren, Matthew, Bradley and Desiree; brothers and sisters Louise, Clarence (Mary), Iris (Al), Marie (Ernie) and Willard and by numerous nieces and nephews. Ed was born August 25, 1927 in Kisbey, SK. He married Frances May 16, 1949 and moved to Inwood, MB in 1959 where they owned the Lantern Cafe. In 1966 they moved to the Foley District where they farmed until his passing. A special thanks to Doctor Chapnic and nursing staff of the Johnson Memorial Hospital, Gimli. A memorial service will be held in Teulon Rockwood Centennial Hall on Saturday, April 14 at 2:00 p.m. Robert McArthur will officiate and the service will conclude at the hall. MacKenzie Funeral Home Teulon in care of arrangements.
