GEORGE TURNER 1906-2001 Wm. George Turner passed away peacefully on April 3, 2001 at the Golden West Centennial Lodge. He was predeceased by his wife Mildred; by sisters, Lillian Briggs, Edith Crowe and Daisy Weitzel and by his brother Herbert. He is survived by one sister Mabel Rogers of Burnaby, BC and by many nieces and nephews. George was employed by the Winnipeg Free Press Co. as a representative in the Advertising Department for many years. Following this he owned and operated his own advertising agency. His friends will remember him for his wit and sense of humor. The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff of the golden West Centennial Lodge, 4th Floor for the most excellent care provided to George. Interment will be in Garry Memorial Park, 1291 McGillivray Blvd, on Friday, April 6 at 1:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow at Westminster United Church, Maryland and Westminster at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev.
