Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLAYTON CHILDS Suddenly, on April 4, 2001, at Seven Oaks Hospital, Clayton Childs passed away at the age of 69 years. He was born June 19, 1931 in Gilbert Plains, MB. Clay worked in road construction until his retirement in 1996. During his retirement he enjoyed time with his family, especially his grandsons. Left to mourn his passing is his wife Marion; sons, Bradley and Darrell; daughters, Sheila and Corinne (Mark) Campbell; grandsons, Troy and Todd; brothers, Roy (Iris), George; sisters, Maryon (Ted) Simpson, Viola Quinn, Thelma (Lawrence) Cooper, Joyce (Ed) Pawliski; father-in-law George Strewchuk; brothers-in-law, George (Eva) Strewchuk, Fred Strewchuk and Roy (Karen) Strewchuk; sister-in-law Valerie (Gary) Bailey; and many nieces and nephews. Clayton was predeceased by his parents, William (1955) and Luella (1982) his brother Wallace (1958) and his mother-in-law Elsie Strewchuk (1998). The family would like to thank Dr. Klassen and the nursing staff on the 5th Floor, Unit 3 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 7 at 1:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Claytons memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3B 2H8.
