Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHERMAN BAPTISTE Suddenly on Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at the Hollow Water First Nation, Sherman Baptiste passed away at the age of 19 years. Sherman was born on March 10, 1982, in Winnipeg. Sherman was a good carpenter, an excellent artist, played hockey, enjoyed hunting and loved small children. He looked forward to the yearly special events held at Black River Days. Left to mourn his passing are his parents, Ellen Baptiste and Nathaniel Duck; brothers, Dennis, Richard, Nathaniel, Freddy, Roger, Neil, Billy, Raymond, Jason, Cristopher; and sisters, Leona and Barbara will always cherish him in their hearts. Sherman also leaves to mourn his foster parents in Hollow Water, Isabelle and Henry Phillips; foster brothers Daryl (Charlene), Cameron (Vicki) foster sisters Wanda (Clayton), Lisa (John), Charity (Gabriel), Chantelle (Blair), Joy and Kateri will forever love and miss him. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. Wake service to be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at the Phillips Residence in Hollow Water. Wake service will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2001, at Little Grand Rapids School Gym. Funeral service to be held on Friday, April 6, 2001, at 10:00 a.m. at the Little Grand Rapids School Gym, with Fr. Rheal Forest officiating. Interment to follow at Little Grand Rapids Cemetery. Hey Sherman it's been many years now since you passed on, but not a day has gone by that I didn't think of you. I miss you so much. And remember all the things we did as kids...I miss you alot and I'm soon to be 30 this coming April 9th..I now have 4 kids. Shanita who is 9 now and one who passed on at the age of 3 1/2 mths...I'm sure she's up there with you living with the great Lord himself. I also have my Amelia who is 5, my son Deacon who will be 4 in August...alot has been so messed up. I wish things didn't happen at all because if you were here you could help our brothers who were badly effected upon our death, but I tried to keep them strong and to do good things. But everytime I try it's just negativity repeated. I miss you Sherman and I just want to tell you I love you. Tell Richie man I said hi and take care of my baby up there. Kiss her and send her my love because it's hard down here not having her in my arms. I love you Sherman, Richard and Gemini and Foster dad Buzzy and my biological mom Ellen and father Nathaniel.
