EMMA MARIETTE BAZIN (nee JUBINVILLE) Peacefully on Sunday, March 25, 2001, at the Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver, Emma passed away at age 69. Emma was predeceased by her parents, Honora (Payette) and Antonin Jubinville; brothers, Antonio (at any early age) and Henri and brother-in-law Armand Bisson. She leaves to mourn her passing, brothers and sisters, Germaine Garand (Armand), Rolande Bisson; sister-in-law Louise Jubinville, Leandre (Ella), Delphine Magne (Charles), Gisele Messner (Andrew), Anita Johnson (Gordon), Marie-Paule Fortier (Gilles) and Adrien (Aline), as well as many relatives and friends. Emma was born in Saint-Leon, Manitoba on April 7, 1931. She graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse in September, 1948. She followed this career throughout various areas in Manitoba, which eventually led her to work at Lions Gate Hospital in Vancouver, where she retired. North Vancouver was her home, and it was there that she spent many hours taking walks along the seashore. Emma enjoyed life and was a very caring person. Her sense of humour and strong faith were always evident throughout the trials that life sent her way. She loved her family dearly, proving it to the end, as she had planned to come to Manitoba to spend her 70th birthday with her family and friends. Unfortunately, her failing health robbed her of this dream. Special thanks to Dr. A. Lakha and Emmas special friends, Martha and Lorraine, for their kindness, care and support. A memorial service will be held in Winnipeg at Mary Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive, on Monday, April 23, at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation. Private family inurnment at a later date at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
