Date of Passing: Apr 12, 2001
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET JOYCE CLEMONS (nee STEVENS) After a lengthy illness, Joyce passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2001 at St. Boniface Hospital. She is survived by her loving husband Glen; daughter Caron Hedberg and Carons family; sister Lorraine Andrew; brother Joe Stevens; cousin Dianne McDonald; and numerous nieces, nephews and her many friends throughout the Canadian Military community. Joyce was the eldest of three children born to Charles and Blanche Stevens. Her younger years were spent in Winnipeg and at an early age, she became a civilian employee of the Department of National Defence. She and Glen were posted to various locations in Canada, spending a number of years in Cold Lake, Alberta where they made numerous lifelong friends. Upon retirement, Glen and Joyce returned to Winnipeg to be near family and friends. They were happy to once again be close to their families. They enjoyed their return to Winnipeg and had many visits to the cottage at Grand Marais. At Joyces expressed wishes, a private family gathering was held in the home of her cousin, Dianne McDonald and her husband William. Our family would like to express our thanks to all those in the medical community at St. Boniface Hospital and Beacon Hill Lodge, who gave Joyce the care she so much needed during her illness.
