GLORIA SILVA SOUSA March 22, 1920 - April 13, 2001 To our great mother and grandmother: There will always be a heartache and often a silent tear, but always special memories of the days when you were here. We hold you close within our hearts, and there you will remain, to walk with us throughout our lives, until we meet again. Gloria passed away on Friday, April 13, 2001 to join her beloved husband Joao Sousa, beloved son Jose Maria Sousa, brother and sister, Maria Jose and Joao. Gloria will be greatly missed by her daughters, Lidia (Joao) Ferreira, residents of Sao. Miguel, Azores and Margarida (Antonio) Reis; sons, Joao (Grasiela), Tiberio (Judy) daughter-in-law Filomenia Sousa; sister Armenia, sister Lidia and brother Antonio of Portugal; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Prayers will be said on Monday, April 16, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 17, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St. with Msgr. Maurice Comeault officiating. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Special thanks to the doctors and staff, especially Dr. Chan and Trinity for their compassion and special care. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made in Glorias memory to CancerCare Manitoba, Box 2248 Stn Main, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9.
