Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPHYLLIS HAMES Suddenly on Thursday, April 12, 2001 at Stonewood Place, Stonewall, Phyllis Hames aged 88 years of Stonewall, Man. and formerly of Kenton. Born June 4, 1912 in Bradford, England she came to Canada in 1917 and had lived in Saskatchewan. She married Gordon Hames in 1947. In 1956 she and her husband purchased Hames Store in Kenton which they operated until 1970. In January 1991 she moved to Stonewall. Phyllis had been very active in volunteer work, making many friendships over the years. Predeceased by her husband Gordon in 1992 and step-son Keith. Surviving to mourn her loss one son Larry and wife Elaine of Swan River, their children, Melanie (Dave), Claire and Michael; one daughter Wendy and her husband Blaine Wall of Warren, their children, Dameon (Monique), Trista (Gary) and great-grandchildren Riley and Bailey; and Lisa (Dan and Tyler). Five sisters, Evelyn, Dorothy, Violet, Elsie and Lucy and numerous nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to Rosewood Lodge Stonewall or a charity of ones choice. MacKenzie Funeral Home Stonewall in care of arrangements.
