J. WILLIAM KEE Early Saturday morning, at the age of 75, after a difficult illness, J. William Kee quietly passed away. He will be sadly missed by his son William Robert (Ann) grandson Tyler and many wonderful friends. Born August 5, 1925 in Birtle, Man. He moved with his family to Winnipeg in November 1939. He attended Hugh John McDonald School, Daniel McIntyre Collegiate. Dad joined the navy in October 1943, where he served about the H.M.C.S. Uganda, until he was discharged in December 1945. He married Janet I. Love, March 1949. Janet predeceased him on June 24, 1995. Dad worked for the Hudsons Bay Co., and then C.N.R. He joined the Winnipeg Police Force in 1959, and retired in 1985. He was a member of the Sons of Scotland, Robert Burns Camp and a member of the St. James Legion #4. Dad enjoyed all sports, including curling and bowling. In latter years, lawn bowling became his choice of sport, with the Vimy Ridge Lawn Bowling Club, where he served as President, from 1992 to 1993. He gave his time willingly to the lawn bowling club in particular taking great pleasure in teaching new members. Cremation has taken place.
