NORINE WILSON After a long and courageous battle, Norine Wilson passed away Thursday, April 12, 2001 with her beloved son and daughter at her side. Norine was predeceased by her husband Jim. In passing she leaves to mourn her daughter Cheryl (Tim) son Darren (Mary) and her granddaughters, Ashley and Krista whom she loved dearly. She will also be sadly missed by her brothers, sisters, nieces, other extended family and many friends. Norine was born in Selkirk, Man. She worked in Eatons Mail Order where she met Jim and eventually settled in East Kildonan with him. Norine then turned her attention to raising her family where she became a devoted wife and mother. In 1995 Jim and Norine moved into Fred Douglas Place where Norine enjoyed the friendship and support of the many people she met there. Norines family would like to thank Helene Tapley who was more than a friend in providing support and comfort to their Mom, also thanks to Vienna Black for her support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Norines memory. A graveside service with a gathering of family and friends to follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre will take place at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, April 17. "You will be forever remembered for your thoughtfulness and kindness. You were a wife, mentor, confidante and Mom. Thanks Mom, we will miss you dearly."
