MRS. ALICE MASSEY With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother. Peacefully with her family at her side, Mamaji passed into the arms of Jesus on April 15, 2001 at the Seven Oaks Hospital at 8:30 a.m. Mrs. Massey is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Mr. Sant Massey and her parents. She was born in Kanpur, India, on November 25, 1915. She immigrated to Winnipeg with her husband in 1974, from Pakistan. She was devoted to Jesus Christ with a deep passion, which now lives in her children. She is survived by her children, Iris Najamuddin (Isaac), Edvina Massey, Fred Massey (Rahat), Frank Massey; grandchildren, Ivy Ratte (Burke), Ellen Ajmal (Fahkar), Ivan, Rachael, Carl, David, Eric, and Eliza; great-grandchildren Naomi and Nicholas Ratte, Farah, Maria Ajmal and Trinity Baggley. This was moms favourite verse: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. Psalm 23: Verse 6 Funeral service will be held at Calvary Temple, 400 Hargrave St., at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, with Pastor H.H. Barber presiding. Interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave., following the service, and a reception for family and friends will be held in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre.
