JANE (JEAN) MILLER (nee HOLMES) Peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, Jean passed away on April 17, 2001 at the age of 91. Left to mourn her passing and cherish her memory are her husband, Norman, daughter Karen, son-in-law Gabriel Robert and seven step-grandchildren. Jean will also be lovingly remembered and forever missed by sister-in-law Grace Miller of Brandon, brother-in-law Ted Satersmoen of Minneapolis and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parentS, Janet and Robert Holmes and sister Ann Taylor (1989). Jean was born in Scotland on March 29, 1910 and came to Canada at the age of two. She married Norman in 1936. Jean was known for her strong commitment to family. She was a devoted wife, a loving and selfless parent, a caring sister, and a loyal friend. Among her many talents were knitting, crocheting, needlework, and baking. She also enjoyed bowling, bingo, playing cards, and reading. According to Jeans wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private family interment of cremated remains will be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family wish to thank Dr. Lori Ebbeling for her many years of excellent care. We also wish to thank the staff of St. Boniface Hospital, the staff at Lions Manor and Home Care for their committed care and compassion.
