Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPALMIRA JENKINS On April 17, 2001, Palmira Jenkins passed away peacefully at the Morden Hospital with her husband by her side. Pal will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years, Stan; son Donn (Anne), grandsons, Mark and Riley; and daughter Marcia (John) Nedecky, grandsons, Jason and Justin. Pal was predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Sarah Casagrande; brother Julius; and infant son Burton. Pal was born in Winnipeg on May 20, 1916 and grew up in Transcona. She married Stan in 1946 and they moved to Morden in 1950. Pal was a member of the U.C.W. at St. Pauls United Church for many years, as well as a 50 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Morden Friendship Centre. Pal was very proud of her grandsons and enjoyed spending time with her family. Some of her hobbies included needlework, playing bridge, scrabble and cribbage, solving crossword puzzles and watching hockey on TV. Pal also enjoyed travelling and spending time at the cottage at Grand Beach. Sincere thanks to the Morden Home Care workers who enabled Pal to remain in her home over the last few years. Our heartfelt thanks also to Pals doctors and the caring staff at the Morden Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 20 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Pauls United Church in Morden. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association.
