NOELIA (NELL) LUSIGNAN Peacefully, on April 18, 2001 Nell Lusignan passed away at the Lorne Memorial Hospital in Swan Lake, MB. Nell was predeceased by her parents, Joseph Prosper, and Louisa (nee Foster). Also brothers, Norman, Alfred, Stanley, Hector, and Wilfred; sisters, Mary, Gladys, Phylis, and Eva. Left to cherish her memory sister Edna (Bob) Haire of New Hamburg, ON, and stepbrother Gerald of Surrey, BC. Also left to mourn her passing sisters-in-law, Eva of Owen Sound, ON, Adele of Atikokan, ON, Mildred of Somerset, MB, and numerous nieces and nephews. Nell was born in Somerset, MB and received her education at Richard School, later moving to Winnipeg, and attended Success Business College. In 1937 Nell joined Manitoba Telephone System and enjoyed 36 years of service. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, Chapter 50. After Nells retirement she found much pleasure spending winter months in La Feria, Texas. Nell was a member of St. James Anglican Church in Winnipeg. She enjoyed bridge, bowling, and watched sporting activities. In 1995, Nell moved back to Somerset, where she could find comfort living closer to family. In 1999 Nell was made an Honorary Life Member of the Progressive Conservative Party, a well deserved dedication for someone who was such a loyal supporter. Nell was outgoing and always full of energy, her presence will be forever remembered. "REST IN PEACE NELL, "TILL WE MEET AGAIN." At Nells request cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at a later date.
