EVA GRACE GRANBY After a lengthy illness, with her family by her side, Eva passed away peacefully at the Arborg Personal Care Home at the age of 91. Eva was born on February 24, 1910 in Winnipeg, MB. In her younger years, she lived in Savant Lake, ON and then moved to Riverton, MB where she worked as a nanny. In later years she made her home in Arborg, MB. Eva was a loving, caring person who was always there for her family and she was especially fond of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eva was predeceased by her parents, Edith and George Johnson, and stepmother Kate; her brothers, Harold, Howard and Stanley Johnson; sisters, Enid Johnson and Helen Kornik. Cherishing her memory is her daughter Marion Sumka; her grandchildren, David (Marianne) Sumka, Madison and Morgan; Josie (Jack) Monkman, Michael, Justin and Tyson; Harvey Sumka; Edward Sumka and Gage. The family would like to thank the dedicated, compassionate staff of the Arborg Personal Care Home for their kind and loving care. A memorial service will be held at the Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Chapel, Arborg, MB on April 23 at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. Jeff McGowan officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Evas memory to the Arborg Personal Care Home Foundation, Box 10, Arborg, MB R0C 0A0. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
