Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLEN JAMES TRAVERSE February 21, 1955 - April 18, 2001 It is with deep sorrow that the family of Glen Traverse announce his sudden, accidental passing on April 18, 2001, in Lake St. Martin, MB. Glen leaves to mourn his beloved children, Candace and Edward; his mother Flora Traverse; brothers, Elmer (Sylvia) Traverse, Gordon (Betty) Traverse, Norman (Winnie) Traverse, John (Freda) Traverse; sisters, Rosemary (Robert) Forbes, Dorothy (Walter) Anderson, Linda (Clements) Prince, Lillian (Peter) Ross, and Emma Bear; uncles, Mark Traverse and Jacob Traverse; aunts, Evangeline Traverse, Edith Gagen, and Bertha Sumner; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Glen was predeceased by his father David Traverse in 1994, sister Yvonne Traverse in 1989, and a sister in infancy in 1937, brother George Edward Traverse in 1999, and an infant son in 1983. Glen was a hard working individual. He always provided for his children. Glen worked as a commercial fisherman, a trapper, farmer, and a hunter. He was a kind, loving, and generous person to his family and friends. Glen also served as a Band Councillor for ten years for the Lake St. Martin First Nation. "Glen, you left so suddenly, not even a good-bye. Your warm, friendly smile and your sense of humour will be missed. You leave us with many fond memories, and you will always remain in our hearts." The family wishes to express their gratitude to all those who came to offer comfort and prayers in their time of need. May God bless you all. A wake and prayer service will be held on Friday, April 20 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 21 at 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Lake St. Martin House of Prayer, Lake St. Martin, MB.
