VERNA F.J. MORAN Peacefully on Friday, April 20, 2001, Verna F.J. Moran passed away at the Riverview Health Centre. Verna was born November 13, 1909 in Mather, MB and moved to Elm Creek at the age of 3 months. After her schooling in Elm Creek, she took a business course in Winnipeg and worked in the City Health Department for 10 years. Verna married J. Donald Moran in 1938 who predeceased her in 1971. She is also predeceased by five brothers, Garnet, Raymond, Gordon, Douglas and Charlie Orr. She is survived by her daughter Dr. Judith Moran (Fiala) son-in-law Vladimir Fiala and grandsons, Rory, Ryan, twin granddaughters Karen and Kelly; brother Fraser Orr (Alma) and many nieces and nephews. She was a long time member of Daughters of Nile and Khartum Ladies Auxiliary, a member of Fez Bowling League for 35 years, and a member of St. Andrews R H United Church. She also enjoyed knitting and needlework. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Shrine Transportation Fund, 1155 Wilkes, Wpg, MB or a charity of their choice. By her request, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Thank you to the Riverview Health Centre for their wonderful care in recent weeks, especially staff Alice, Joan, Ray, Jackie, Jason and all others on ward 3W.
