MARIA KARKOTA (1923 - 2001) Maria passed away after a lengthy illness, on Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at the age of 78 years. She was predeceased by her son Richard in 1983. Maria leaves to mourn, her husband Antoni and numerous friends. Before her retirement, Maria worked as a garment sewer at Sterling Cloak. She was a longtime parishioner of Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church and she was also a member of Rosary Sodality. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 24, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with viewing from 9:30 - 10:00 a.m. with an Oblate Father officiating.
