STAN ORZECH With family at his side, Stan Orzech, aged 52 years, of Finns, Man., passed away peacefully on April 20, 2001 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. Stan was born in Gimli, Man., on March 9, 1949, had attended Finns Elementary School and later Riverton High School. He worked with his dad, Philip and uncle Walter hauling pulp and working at the saw mill. Later he took over the store and farm. Stan had a great sense of humour and was a very caring and always giving person. He was willing to give a helping hand to all. Stan was very proud of his children Colleen and Wally as well as adopted daughter Rosemary. He is also survived by his mother Sophie Orzech; sisters, Emily (Russ Ochsner) and children, Kevin and Dawn and Phyllis (Wilbert Barnesky) and children, Angela and Darren; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the Gimli Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 25 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church in Gimli with Fr. Jose Cabral officiating. Interment in the Jaroslaw Cemetery.
