THOMAS ALBERT ROWAN On April 19, 2001, Thomas Rowan aged 66, peacefully passed away at the Victoria General Hospital. Tom is survived by his loving wife Norma (nee Farthing) sons, David (Janine) Rowan, Keith (Cynthia) Rowan; daughter Wanda Rowan and grandchildren, Crissy, Sarah, Brandon; special grandson Garrett Hildon; brothers Lloyd, Charlie, Gordon (Sandra), John (Joanne) sisters-in-law Linda, Louise, Marie, other relatives and mother Ida Rowan. He was predeceased by his father David Rowan; brothers George, Ernie, Martin; sister Martha. Tom was born in Saskatchewan and moved to Manitoba with his family. He married on March 21, 1962 and worked a long career with Canada Cement until he retired in 1993. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family and friends. In retirement he enjoyed the wildlife and peace of country living on his hobby farm near Oakpoint, Man. He is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday April 24, at 3:00 pm at the Thomson Funeral Chapel at 669 Broadway in Winnipeg, Man., with reception to follow.
