Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Known to me as Uncle Pete, I remember him as a loyal and hard working helper to my father, John Spuzak. Our two families lived in two houses located on the same quarter section of land. I was glad to be in attendance at Uncle Pete's internment, as well as the luncheon afterward, arranged by my cousin Ron and wife Lea (son of Margaret and Mike Herneshen). Uncle Pete told us kids interesting stories in his broken English about their young years growing up in Husavick/Sandy Hook. I lost touch with Uncle Pete when I left home at the tender age of 16 to begin a new life in Winnipeg. I am in the process of writing a book about our family, which includes some memories of Uncle Pete. I am calling the book "Phoenix of Faith." I currently live in British Columbia and can be reached through my website at phoenixoffaith.ca if you have an "Uncle Pete" story to share. - Posted by: Esther Harrison (Niece) on: Nov 19, 2012
