Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUTH STANGER Peacefully, on April 21, 2001, Ruth Stanger passed away at the Beausejour & District Hospital, Beausejour, MB, at the age of 90 years. Ruth is survived by her son Louis Stanger of Selkirk, MB; daughter Jean (Nick) Hemko of Cobourg, ON; daughter-in-law Margaret Stanger of Bella Coola, BC; sister Margaret Francis of Nanaimo, BC, and sister Dora Phillips of St. Thomas, ON. Ruth had 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers in infancy; husband Andrew; sister Rose Campbell; daughter Anne Manrovich; daughter-in-law Gloria Stanger and son Jack Stanger. Ruth was also predeceased by her very dear companion Victor Burns in 1980. Ruth was born September 23, 1910 in Tyndall, MB, and resided in Beausejour for the last 58 years. In her early years Ruth worked as a housekeeper and home care worker. Ruth was a very private person who lived a full life with many hardships and yet many happy times. She spent many hours reading and writing letters. Pallbearers will be her two grandsons-in-law, Boris Shwetz and Glen Pleskacz and also great-grandson Joey Pleskacz. Honorary pallbearers are close friends, Emil and Jean Litke. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 27 at 11:30 a.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 East at Green Acres Lane. Donations in Ruths memory may be made to the charity of your choice. The family extends a special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and home care workers who looked after Ruth.
