MARIA MAJOROW With deep sorrow the family announces the loss on Sunday, April 22, 2001, at Victoria Hospital, of Maria Majorow, after a brief battle with cancer, at the age of 78. Maria was predeceased by her husband Peter. She will be sadly missed and always loved by her son Peter and Beryl Majorow; daughters, Ellinor and Helmut Heldt, Josie and John Wilsbech; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Kathi Fink and Anni Peschl; brother Hans Mader and many friends. Maria was born September 23, 1922 in Germany, married and came to Winnipeg in 1953 with her family. It was on this voyage that she met her life-long friend Elfrieda and they made Winnipeg their home. She enjoyed her many family get-togethers. Maria was an active member of the Inkster Seniors Club, St. Nicholas Seniors Club and the Sinclair Park Seniors Club. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Victoria Hospital for their care and compassion. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, April 25 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 26 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church, 355 Andrews at Mountain with Fr. Diosdado Parrenas officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick and Tim Heldt, John and Jaxom Wilsbech, Chris and Larry Szunyog.
