Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDNA JOYCE WILCOX (TEDDY) December 1, 1899 - April 21, 2001 Peacefully, on Saturday, April 21, 2001, at Sunnywood Manor, Pine Falls, Man., Edna passed away at the age of 101. Edna was the eldest in a family of nine children whom have all predeceased her. Edna will be lovingly remembered by family members and many close friends. Edna was employed by Pallisers Brewery (Labatts) until her retirement in 1960. Edna then spent many of her retirement hours volunteering at the Canadian Red Cross. Two of Ednas favourite pastimes were bridge and bowling. One of her major achievements was when her bowling team won the provincial championship and the trophy was presented by Colonel Sanders himself. One of Ednas final remarks to family members was, "I lived a good life, a long life, and I lived it the way I wanted." Family and friends are invited to join in the celebration of Ednas life on Wednesday, April 25 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment will take place at 2:20 p.m. in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens followed by a service in the chapel at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Canadian Red Cross Society, 504 - 240 Graham Avenue, Winnipeg MB R3C 0J7.
