MARGUERITE EVELYN (MARGE) NORRIS Peacefully, on April 22, 2001, at the Bethesda Hospital, Steinbach, Marge Norris, beloved mother of Marty Norris, passed away after a long illness, at the age of 82 years. Marge will be sadly missed by her son Marty; loving friend Jean of Steinbach; and grandson Brandon of Beausejour; and also by her extended family and dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents Jean and Joseph; brother George and sister Helen. Marge had been a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Transcona Legion Branch No. 7 for 31 years. She had also served as President for the Columbus Villa for 10 years. Marge also gave of herself for many years as a foster parent. She enjoyed music, dancing, camping, travelling and most of all people. Marge had a great sense of humour that endeared her to many. We the family would like to thank the staff at Bethesda Personal Care Home and all the home care workers who helped us in our home. A memorial service will be held at the Transcona Legion, 117 Regent Avenue East, Transcona on Wednesday, April 25 at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow in the Transcona Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 566 Bannatyne Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 0G7. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
