WILLIAM SPROAT (BILL) HENDRY Suddenly, in Ottawa, on Friday, April 20, 2001, William Sproat Hendry, in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Agnes (Nessie) for 51 years, brother of Peter of Guelph and Margaret Trueman of San. Louis Obispo, California, uncle to five nephews and a niece. Mr. Hendry was born in McAuley, MB; son of the late Lewis and Mabel Hendry. He served overseas during the Second World War in the RCAF Bomber Command as a navigator with Moose Squadron. He was retired from many years service with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in both Winnipeg and Ottawa. He will be missed by his many friends at First Church of Christ Scientist in Ottawa where he had been a member for more than 40 years. Friends may visit the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod St., Ottawa on Tuesday, April 24, 2001 from 2:00 p.m. until service time in the chapel at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
