DOROTHY KEEN Our precious and loving mother Dolly Keen passed away in Ladysmith General Hospital on April 20, 2001 at the age of 90 years. Mom was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB in 1910. Dolly married Thomas James Keen in 1932 and moved to Ladysmith in 1974. Dolly was predeceased by her husband Thomas in 1989, son-in-law Bill Stacey and great-granddaughter Ashli Minor. She is survived by her loving daughters, Joan Minor (Morley) and Betty Lee from Winnipeg, Doreen Stacey of Ladysmith, Lenore Fletcher (Charlie) of Lethbridge, AB; son Jim Keen (Joanne) as well as 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grand-children. Dolly was educated in Winnipeg and worked as a multigrapher which she enjoyed very much. She raised five children and always put them first in her life. Dolly enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening. She joined the O.A.P., the United Church, and the bowling league where she made many friends. A memorial service will be held for Dolly on April 25 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ladysmith United Church, Third Avenue, Ladysmith, BC, with Rev. Norman Thomas officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society in her name would be appreciated. A private family interment will be held at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar, BC.
