Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICIA PHILLIPS (nee Anderson) Alice Patricia Phillips, of Winnipeg, passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on Saturday, April 21, 2001 at the age of 85. Pat leaves to mourn her passing her son Bruce (Connie) two grandchildren, Curtis of Montreal and Graeme of Toronto; one sister Noreen Pritchard; one sister-in-law Alma Anderson; step-children, Ron Phillips (Paige), Wilda Lahey (Thomas) step-grandchildren, Shannon and Laurel Phillips, Debbie Harper (Dave), Tim Jeffery, and Bob Jeffery (Cheryl), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Her husbands Curtis Jenkins and Bob Phillips; parents, James and Mary Anderson; three brothers, Allen, Alywin ("Andy"), and Neil; and three sisters, Mabel McGregor, Edith Chatwin, Harriet Campbell; and step-daughter Wilene Jeffery predeceased Pat. Pat was born July 20, 1915 at the family farm near Myrtle, Man. She attended Myrtle School from 1921-1932 and then went to Brandon Normal School, where she received her Teachers Certificate. She loved teaching with a passion and taught at Sperling Consolidated School and Tremont School. In later years, Pat worked in the insurance office of W. C. McDonald, at Roland, Man. She was an active member of the Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodges. Pat was an intelligent, quiet, unassuming woman with a delightful quick wit. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, April 28 at 1:00 p.m., at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street, with Rev. Peter Douglas officiating. Interment will follow the same day, at Sperling Cemetery at 4:00 p.m. If friends so wish, donations in Pats memory may be made to St. Vital United Church, 937 St. Marys Road, Winnipeg, Man., R2M 3R6.
