Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH GEORGE WOOD November 13, 1922 - April 25, 2001 Peacefully at the Deer Lodge Centre, Winnipeg, Man., Kenneth Wood passed away. He leaves to cherish his memory children, Olga, George (Marlene), Marilyn (Charles), Sandra (Clarence), Coreen (Howard), Kenneth (Gwen), Maureen, Margaret (Richard) as well as 38 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Freddie (Rose), Franklin, Jane (Jerry), Audrey, Vera, Minne (Ray) sister-in-law Bea; brother-in-law Lawrence; his former wife Frances; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Kenneth was predeceased by his parents, Alex and Mary Wood; by brothers, Edgar, Albert, Roddy, Jim; as well as sisters, Olga, Annie and Martha. Kenneth was born and raised in Manigotagan. He served in the Second World War from 1943 to 1945. He worked for Griffith Bros. Drilling, mining and trapping. He enjoyed walking, shovelling snow, cutting grass and spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wake services will be held at the Manigotagan Community Centre beginning Friday. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 28 at 2:00 p.m., also from the Manigotagan Community Centre, with Rev. Andrew Sinclair officiating. Interment will be in the Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Theodore, Devon, Curtis, Sheldon, Stan and Rene. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Deer Lodge Centre for the care, compassion and friendship shown to our father.
