Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHERINE (KAY) GILLINGHAM Kay Gillingham passed away peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital on Friday, April 27, 2001. She was predeceased by her husband Charlie; granddaughter Ginger-Lee and her siblings, George, Anne, Helen, Ernie and Peter. Kay will be lovingly remembered by her son Doug (Allison) of Winnipeg and three daughters, Deane (Randy) Glover of Lethbridge, Margaret (Marcel) Cherewyk and Phyllis Couture of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Alan, Derrick, Shelley Jo (Jason), Lisa (Chris), Troy, Christopher, Anthony and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Paige, Iain, Kayleigh and Sebastian; sisters, Mary Kirkland and Edna (Lloyd) Cummer and brother Garvin (Marj) Wiebe; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Kay was born on December 1, 1918 in Plum Coulee, Man. Kay and Charlie were married in 1943 and farmed together in the Stephenfield District. She was always a willing and active participant in community affairs. In 1966 Charlie and Kay moved their family to Winnipeg. Kay retired in 1985 from the Municipal Hospitals where she worked as a Certified Healthcare Aide. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m., at Norwood United Church, 160 St. Marys Road (at Tache Avenue) with viewing prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. Burial will be on Tuesday, May 1 at 11:00 a.m., at Carman Memorial Cemetery, Carman, Man.
