KAREN SCOTT (nee LA CROIX) It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Karen La Croix Scott on March 24, 2001 in Vancouver, at the age of 43. Karen was predeceased by her husband Doug Scott in July 2000 and her father Charles La Croix in 1987. Karen will be missed by her mother Jackie La Croix of Winnipeg; sister Gail Willick (Michael) of Fort Frances; brother Gary La Croix (Sandy) of Duncan, B.C.; her nieces, Jill Sinclair (Ian) and great nephew Jacob, Jennifer La Croix, nephew Andrew La Croix (Janelle) of British Columbia and life long friend Margaret Ford of Winnipeg. Karen grew up in Winnipeg and attended St. Marys Academy and Miles MacDonnell High School. She moved to B.C. many years ago and immediately fell in love with the beauty of the province, where she remained until her death. Karen will be remembered as a kind and generous woman with a wonderful sense of humour who was naturally talented, musically and artistically. She spent many hours drawing and painting and she will always live through her art work which was so distinctively hers. We will always remember her voice through saved recordings from long ago. Throughout her illness Karen remained positive and thankful for her family and her friends, she would always end her conversations with, "I love you". We will remember the good times that we shared with Karen and those memories will keep her close to our hearts forever. Rest in Peace.
