CHARLES ROBERT WERNER (CHUCK or CHARLIE) 1921 - 2001 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dad on Thursday, April 26, 2001 at the Poseidon Care Centre at the age of 79 years. Charlie is survived by his four sons, Mike, Pat, Robert and Tim. He is also survived by his sisters, Alma, Viola, Mabel, Esther and his brother Bill as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Dad was predeceased by his brother Jack and his parents, Charles and Katherina. He will be remembered as a good friend and a good guy. Charlie always had a good story or joke for anyone that was in earshot. He loved to play snooker and hang out with the guys. Dad joined the army and served in England, France, Holland and Germany. He was an active member at the Rockwood ANAF for many years as well as member of Assiniboine ANAF for several years. Dad worked at McCurdy Supply for many years then he became a self employed carpenter until he retired about six years ago. In compliance with Dads wishes, no formal service will be taking place. Flowers, cards and phone calls are gratefully declined. Our family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Central Park Lodge and the nurses at the Victoria General Hospital for their care and compassion.
